The Jewel of India offers a wide range of Entrees - for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tastes. Our Palak Papdi Chaat is one of the most popular entrees on our Menu - giving the diner a mix of flavours, the sweetness of yoghurt, the tangy tamarind sauce adding the right amount of oomph factor to a delicious crisp spinach fritter on a bed of cold potato salad. For the meat lover we have a succulent Tandoori Lamb Cutlet that guests swear that it melts in the mouth! For those unable to decide we offer an Entree Platter of mixed entrees. We also have the regular fare found in most Indian restaurants of the Samosa, Onion Bhaji (Pakoras) , Chicken Tikka and Seekh Kebab etc
The Dine in Menu at the Jewel of India caters to a variety of tastes ranging from the very popluar Beef Vindaloo - which is the hottest dish on our Menu - to the mild and creamy Butter Chicken - which is a hot favourite of children and grown ups alike. Our Signature Dish is the Dal Makhani - a dish made with Black Lentils cooked over a slow fire with spices and finished with cream. The lentils themselves give the dish a creamy texture. We have tried to incorporate dishes from the various regions of India in our Menu while at the same time offering a wide range of vegetarian dishes.
We make our breads freshly in a Tandoor (clay oven). The breads range from the healthy Tandoori Roti (which can be just as tasty without the added butter on top) to the rich Kulchas, Naans and Parathas. The Cheese Kulcha is especially popular with children - almost an Indian version of a cheese pizza!
An Indian meal cannot be complete without a good dessert. For those with a sweet tooth we have a selection of Kulfi (home-made Indian ice creams) and the ever popular Gulab Jamun - to name a couple.
